This Weekend, man
+ Thursday in Anime Club, we reached episode 3 of Madoka. I thought it would be a bit more epic, more exciting. But I guess all the hype I got from everyone else who had already watched it and spoiled the scene for me kinda took all the tension from it. Also thought we would be watching that episode of Evangelion. The wham! episode. The Gendo-how-can-you-be-such-a-fucking-douchebag-you-ass episode.
+ Friday did not start out good. I woke up just as French was ending, so I missed the quiz and turning in homework. I wasn't feeling too good so I decided to skip the whole day and just sleep. Not like I didn't have a good understanding of what we were learning in my other two lectures anyway. We watched the dub of Ghost Stories for our secret Friday meetings in club. It's both the worst and best dub in existence. You can view it here on youtube. And, yes, that is the official dub. They sold this.
+ Saturday we had a movie night over at HotRO (House of the Rising Otaku/apartment where a bunch of anime club members live). We watched Tangled, then Black Swan, another episode of Ghost Stories, and watched the stream of the Star Driver finale. I've already seen Tangled, so no big surprises to behold, although it was a bit more fun with friends and the ability to talk during the movie. As for Black Swan, holy mother of shit you guys my body was not ready for that mindfuck. A beautiful movie, beautiful acting, beautiful costumes, great plot. But I just about jumped out of my seat at everything and had to watch through my fingers at a couple scenes (nail clipper scene, sex scenes, FOOT SCENE). Thankfully my roommate was there to comfort me as we both squelched and squirmed at certain scenes. My favorite part was when she danced as Black Swan and grew feathers. Gorgeous.

Even though I couldn't understand anything, what was going on alone, the music, the bits and pieces of what my friends translated on the fly, I just lost it when SUGATAAAAAA!!

Dammit I wanted at least a hint of a father-son moment in there. Somewhere. Mentions of Sora? Maybe? More Shindo? At least now I know the two knew they were related. And Keito. FOREVER ALOOOONE!
