+ woke up around 5 am Saturday morning to take brother to some band Leadership camp thing. Y'know. Since he's the clarinet section leader and all that stuff. So rather than drive three hours there, drop him off, drive three hours home, then drive back the next morning to take him to another band camp, we decided to spend the night at a motel. And I realized something. Watching television in a hotel/motel/whatever is a lot more entertaining than at home. Must be because the beds are positioned just right for TV viewing.

That Leadership camp started some time around 9. I think. Meaning we had the next day and a half to do whatever! And so we took a little drive along the Pacific Coast! I regret not taking my camera. The sight was just beautiful. Cold. But beautiful. You could spend the whole day just watching in anticipation for the next wave. And the houses along the beach were magnificent as well. Nothing like here where each home looks exactly the same. Each had its own little personality. And what was fun was our quest to find Charlie's house during our little adventure. Which reminds me I need to watch more Two and a Half Men.

I don't much like the beach. I like staring at the ocean, watching the seagulls and keeping an eye out for seal (which we did see, yay!). But the beach itself I don't care for. The wet sand and the wind just don't do it for me. Not to mention each time I've been in the water it hasn't turned out good. Meh. Ah, well. Now we're back home. And brother will be back in a week. Best get them Digimon and Pokemon movies ready!

+ Since I was busy writing that AX recap, I didn't update much. During those two weeks, we tried the CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) again. This time with a different set of sensors. And my God it actually worked! I'll do it again either today or tomorrow depending how I feel. But we were right all along!

+ Oh God how much I've missed House! USA's been having mini-marathons every week. And it's just wonderful. And while we're on the subject of wonderful TV, we caught an episode of Brotherhood on Saturday at the motel. Jesus I need to catch up.

awesome day was awesome, brother, diabetes, note to self
