Chapter seven

A girl can’t get ‘nough action ‘round ‘ere. Looks like one’a Angel’s friends got to catchin’ the Rogue Pump, turns out she couldda been one o’ us if it weren’t on account o’ her bein’ completely off ‘er gourd. Though Wood ‘as kind enough to explain it to us simple folk.

Guess I was kinda lookin’ forward to gettin’ hold o’ her myself (with Faith for company, mind), but it ‘as probably better of turnin’ out that way. I don’t know much o’ the story, but Willow an’ the girl sounded like they were friends or somethin’. Didn’t make Angel any happy ‘bout it though, there was a hole in the ceilin’ which has since been filled…

Which gets me to the more happy makin’ things. Willow brought along a vampire friend ‘o hers. London. Sweet lil’ thing. Energetic as hell. I ‘memember havin’ a flour fight with her b’fore she left. Picture us, covered head-ta-toe in flour to have Angel walkin’ in on us, wonderin’ what the fuss was. Poor guy couldn’t escape us, though. We gave ‘im our fair share.

Bein’ with her made me think o’ Loo.

Children always got a sweet spot for me, though. Must be somethin’ I got from my ma.

London left not long ago. I’m startin’ to think I’m doomed ta meet people only to have to leave ‘em. ‘Sgonna be hard. Though the other day Woody -sorry boy, never gonna get use ta calling you Wood. Robin maybe- an’ I got ta talkin’ an’ he expressed an interest in comin’ back home with me. Said he didn’t have much ‘ere anyway. I got to askin’ if it was ‘cause he loved me, but I get tha feelin’ he jus' needs someone to guide.

An’ I need someone ta look after me. So it works out. Shyeah. Like it’d be that easy. I’m gonna talk to Albion, see whether it effects gettin’ me home. Poor boy’s been locked up in his study almost as long as I’ve been ‘ere. Least if he don’t have good news, he could use tha company. Maybe get out an’ breathe that fresh air they got ‘ere.
