I really like the Hunger Games, but then again, she stole so much from Batte Royale, it's way too obvious.
And she's lucky that not many people, let alone young adults, know about BR or any Japanese novel apart from something by Haruki Murakami maybe, so she can get away with it.

idk, I obviously like the characters and all and it is well written, but even the end of the first book is the same as the end of BR, come on Suzanne Collins...

Ah I didn't know that either. :| I liked the books on their own but I didn't know about Battle Royale so I can't say anything about that.

Yeah I looked some comparisons up online and it seems similar but it's not like this kind of thing is new (Lord Of The Flies etc.)

Sure, the concept isn't new. But some things she's taken from it are basically very similar or the same.
