(no subject)
Happy 4th! I'm missing my family. Usually we have a cookout, hang out and then watch fireworks. In town there is supposed to be food, activies and music in the fair ground area. We are going to go check it out later and then get a spot to watch fire works.

Finally getting to this after 2 weeks. I was waiting for my parents pictures. Still waiting on Colleen's though.
My family got here on June 17th. We unloaded the van full of my stuff they brought for me, talked and went to eat. That was pretty much all.
The 18th we had a bunch of outdoor plans, but it was raining, so we had to change things around a bit. We drove around Fort Peck a bit and then went to the Interpetive Museum. Then we went to the Dam and got a tour. The weather cleared enough to go see the teepee rings. We had more fun looking at all the different rocks and flowers. lol
We stopped by the observation point at Signal Hill. That's where Grant proposed. =)
Next was the Spillway, and the Lake Observation point.
THen we went to get a tour of Grant's work and saw the weather balloon watch. We went out to eat at a great resturant, hung out and that was about it. Oh and calling bunches of people to tell them the news. =)
The 19th we went to the lake with a picnic. It was getting cold and cloudy along the way. As soon as we set foot in the lake , it started to rain! So we packed up everything and drove down the road to the covered picnic tables. The rain and wind picked up and it was cold. It was a nice picnic anyway. About the time we were done, the rain stopped, so we said" let's at least step in the lake" It was cold!!! The clouds finally cleared and it got nice and warm again. We stayed for a few hours. Most of that was just sitting in the lake and looking at rocks. lol.
After we went for ice cream and home to shower up. Then made our way to St. Marie, the abandoned Base I've mentioned before. Found some new areas in there. That place is so damn creepy! Heard some weird noises, most likely rats, but maybe ghosts! Who knows! =D
Went out to eat. Tricked my dad into coming back to our apartment for a b-day/father day surprise. =) We convinced Colleen to spend the night with us. We watched movies, ate junk food and were being silly.
THe 20th, my parents brought lunch over and sometime after left to go to Billing and then Yellowstone. It was so quiet here after that! It was weird. Grant and I were already lonely. It was a great visit. I hope more people can visit us!
