it may seem morbid to post my first entry about heath ledger, but it seemed appropriate seeing as he starred in one of my all-time favorite flicks.  seriously, how many of us girls have swooned over the rebel patrick verona in ten things i hate about you? ennis del mar in brokeback mountain? definitely two of the best movies of all-time.upon his death, heath ledger has become a legend. it's sad that he earns that status only after death, but it's probably what he would have wanted.

the funny thing is this is happening at around the same time as when anna nicole died. i guess we are learning that people do die. celebrities are not invincible. they are prone to drug overdoses, bouts of illness, etc. it's not only the rockers like jim morrison, jimi hendrix, and elvis presley who die randomly at a young age choking on their own vomit. jim morrison, jimi hendrix, and janis joplin all died at the age of twenty seven. and so kurt cobain blew his brains out to follow that tradition. now they are forever known through their music, and heath will be known through his films. he was only twenty eight. i will be twenty eight in twelve years, which seems far off, but remember that i've gone through more than twelve years in my life-- and all sixteen years seem like a blur.

after a while, everything becomes a blur. and reality and fantasy are confused with each other.  i mean, isn't it sad that people die without their memories fully intact?after all, memories are the only thing that are truly our own, the only things that we can trust. and when people start to forget, they start to lose their identity. i can only hope that heath ledger died with as many good memories as a guy could ever have.

here's to a guy lost all too soon.
