Spoiler-censoring update

It's been (almost) one week since episode 3x01 of Veronica Mars aired on the CW, so if you haven't seen 3x01 and don't want to be spoiled, you may want to take veronicamarsfic off your reading list. Don't worry - we won't be approving any fic headers that contain spoilers until after the episode airs on the West Coast tonight, but we won't be posting a warning

Quick question-when will the moderated posts stop? I mean, I think it's a great idea to keep people not spoiled, but when will things get back to normal?

We're planning on keeping the community on moderated status until the hiatuses (or, since the new spoiler policy is for one week on new epsiodes, any offweeks one week after a new episode will be unmoderated). If that makes sense written out this way... :)

There is an option where you can turn off icons in the flist, and only show them under the cut. Just a thought to release you from scrutinizing all those tiny pics, especially since that is the easiest way for a person to spoil accidentally.

Wouldn't that only help posts done here? I mean, if you or I link our story to a personal journal that won't help the spoils.

My understanding is that it blocks the initial post, but not anything under the cut (or fake cut). So I guess there would be the risk upon opening... You just wouldn't get hit with anything in a glance over your flist.

You can! As of tonight (technically after the West Coast airing of 3x02, but we'd just wait to approve the post) all Welcome Wagon icons are safe, since it's been a week since it aired.
