I'm trying to convince myself that sleeping on the couch tonight will be just a like a sleepover! Only with a grumpy cat who's been locked up in the office all day. My bedroom/bath/closet are all being painted (a lovely, Wedgwood-y blue) and right now the curtains and sheers are draped across the bed. I'd take them off and sleep in the bed anyway but those uncovered windows would creep me out! So I'll turn on the fire and get all cuddly on the couch, and probably fall asleep watching H50.

So here's one of those "getting to know you" things that I copied from dolimir_k. Once in a while they amuse me enough to complete them. Feel free to play along!

1. What color are your socks right now? I don't wear socks unless I'm wearing boots to walk through the snow. I am not a sock person.

2. What are you listening to right now? Bon Jovi comm on tv - and I can't ever hear them without thinking of Steve and Danny's epic "classic singers from New Jersey" conversation. Boys.

3. What was the last thing you ate? Hummus pita chips.

4. Can you drive a stick shift? Absolutely.

5. Last person you spoke to on the phone? A co-worker.

6. Do you like the person who sent this to you/gacked this from? Of course, she's one of my very favorite people!

7. How old are you today? Two weeks and two days short of older than I seem when I look in the mirror. I still see someone in her thirties - but then my sight isn't all that great unless I take out my contacts and look in a magnified mirror - now that is scary!

8. What is your favorite sport to watch on TV? During the season, I'll watch the Mariners no matter what their record is. Right now, though, my favorite sport is the NFL playoffs. Go Matty!

9. What is your favorite drink? Day in, day out, I drink mochas and diet lime Coke. I could not live without coffee, nor do I ever intend to.

10. Have you ever dyed your hair? Yes, I have no idea what my natural hair color is.

11. Favorite food? I honestly don't have one - I'm an omnivore and while there are things I don't like, there is no one regional cuisine I favor above others.

12. What is the last movie you watched? Julie & Julia - I was starving after it was over, it was food porn.

13. Favorite day of the year? The Friday before I take my mandatory leave.

14. How do you vent? Depends. I don't do dramatic, so I generally call someone uninvolved in the situation for a distraction.

15. What was your favorite toy as a child? I don't remember. I had a lot of toys.

16. What is your favorite season? Autumn.

17. Cherries or Blueberries? Cherries.

18. Do you want your friends to do this meme? Sure - kill some time *g*.

19. Who is the most likely to respond? Who knows - not many, these things go around a lot.

20. Who is least likely to respond? See above.

21. Living situation? Own my (currently being painted) home. Or the bank does and they let me sleep here for a small remuneration (funny, I always thought that word was reNUMeration).

22. When was the last time you cried? Watching Dave Niehaus' memorial service.

23. What is on the floor of your closet right now? All the furniture the painters could fit inside of it.

24. Who is the friend you have had the longest that you are sending to? Just on my friends list, aithine and dolimir_k and gershwhen.

25. What did you do last night? Futzed with TP, started a sequel to A Star Looking For A Sky, and shoved most of my belongings into the guest room.

26. What are you most afraid of? Not having enough money to retire, not taking the time to enjoy life now.

27. Plain, cheese, or spicy hamburgers? Cheese and lots of it.

28. Favorite dog breed? Despite my devotion to Madeleine Sophia, I have a deep love of Bulldogs. My mom just got her fourth, a puppy named Daphne. Bulldogs are awesome!

29. Favorite day of the week? Friday, of course, followed by Monday if there is a new H50 ;).

30. How many states have you lived in? Just two - born in CA, now live in WA.

31. Diamonds or pearls? Diamonds - yes, please.

32. What is your favorite flower? Pansies!
