I like my version better, too. (But I can almost guarantee that if you wrote it, I'd like THAT even better.)

Imagining it is so much better than writing it, I must say. *G*

Works for me. A much better scene than the "breath" one.

It does seem odd that Jack would resort to bad breath with Will - and that it would work - since he's gotten up in Will's face any number of times and Will's never backed away before.

Cheap humor. I believe the original scene has Jack pushing him off the ship.

That was one of my big complaints with the movies. The cheap sight gags and jokes were funny the first few times. Now they just annoy me.

I like your version much better.

Fantastic! What I wouldn't have given to see that in place of the scene we got. *g*

It would've been lovely; I wouldn't have even minded if it were a distraction tactic by Jack. I can work with that. :-)

LOL

I really like your take on that scene. If Elizabeth gets to kiss almost every guy in the whole movie, why not grant Will some fun as well? ;)

Besides, I never thought that the breath-scene was particularly funny. I like your version better!

Well, you know, in that big spoiler script, it was supposed to be a kiss (and as hopeful as I was, I figured it wouldn't happen - Disney would literally hang a child before they'd show serious gay undertones *G*). I really think that somewhere, there's a take with a kiss - for shits and giggles if nothing else, by the actors.

Glad you liked it! I certainly like this idea better than the bad breath, anyway. (Though I'm still puzzled why dead bodies from the battle hadn't yet been pushed off the ship hours earlier; I don't think Will's killing these guys one by one for bait ...)

Oh yes, we all saw that happen, didn't we? But there seems to be a general tendency to show lots of (completely brainless) violence, even in children's movies, while all matters concerning sexuality (sex, homosexuality, etc.) are taboo. This kind of worries me ... I'd rather have my children watch two people displaying love and tenderness towards each other than have them endure all kinds of gore and murder.

I really think that somewhere, there's a take with a kiss - for shits and giggles if nothing else, by the actors.

Well, if in 50 years time, someone will discover the unreleased outtakes for PotC, there's still a chance we'll get to see it ;)
