I really liked tonight's episode. I wonder if it's because I find the whole child soldier issue very gripping and tragic. I've watched the documentary Invisible Children and it is very powerful. I also noticed that they sort of did a shout out (maybe?) to the real child soldier by one of the characters "Beah." Ishmeal Beah wrote the memoir "A Long Way Gone", which is based on his experience during the war in Sierra Leone. It's also very powerful and just an amazing book. I reccomend it. I thought the story was well played, with enough background to make you sympathetic to Apollo and the confrontation between him and his father made me tear up... And Wallace agreeing to join Invisible Children was great.
As for the other storylines: It was nice to see some emotion come out of Dick for a change. It was long overdue, but as a result his meltdown seemed... a little weird almost. I dont know. Logan and Parker: obviously Parker has started to notice that Logan doesn't feel the same way about her. Piz already knows this, but seems to accept his casual relationship with Veronica. Veronica seems very relaxed and happy to have a relationship where she's not in love with the guy. It's odd, but good to see her happy. I was pleased about her FBI internship too. The only one I wasn't too vested in again was the Mac relationship. I just don't like Max. So he just helps people cheat and bangs Mac on the side? She chooses a guy like that over sweet, caring Bronson? I don't get it.
Oh and sleazoid Vinnie set Keith up for a fall. Nice. I guess he's the new 'bad guy' without Lamb. Liam looking at the picture of Veronica was creeeepy. I sense trouble ahead. Next week looks very juicy. I wasn't even aware it was a 2 hour finale! I thought we had two weeks left. It looks really big and dramatic. Double Veronica is A OK with me though. Huzzah!
