aww I love this.. I just wish Lamb hadn't been so douche-y towards her in canon... this is exactly how it should have happened..

Me too.. I mean you can't hate someone the way the hate each other and not have cared about them at some point.. It's just not possible.

Exactly!! And don't get me started on all the times they weren't looking at each other like they wanted to kill each other - I choose to see those as glimpses back to their old days. Like in those moments they forgot they were supposed to hate each other or even why... and with that I have a new fic idea lol

he was especially douche-y towards V in the pilot, i always thought it was a little extreme :( so this is better.

I actually agree with that - which is why I just keep coming back to "Why?" Just what about their previous relationship made him believe that she would lie about a thing like that? And what would cause him to react that way? And yes, all of my theorizing makes my head hurt after a while lol.
