The first time he ever saw Lianne, Keith knew she needed somebody to take care of her. Within five minutes, he was wondering if he might be the guy for the job.
They went to a diner together on their first date. It was an unusually cold winter, nearly freezing, and Keith put his coat around her shoulders.
"Thank you," Lianne whispered. He both loved and feared the fragility in her voice.
"I'm always looking ahead," Keith replied, trying to joke.
Today he realizes that he had no idea what lay ahead. He couldn't have guessed what lay in store.
