Yeah, exactly as you said, I wanted to try a style that leaves more to the reader's imagination. I'm glad to know that it makes for an enjoyable reading experience. My 'writing challenge' used to be to put more and more details into my fics and expand the wordcount, but now it's to retain the level of detail for the readers but to use as few words as I can. It's harder to write this way but it's more rewarding; thank you for letting me know that you enjoy reading it, I'm glad you had fun :D
The characterization is evolving even as I'm writing the story, we're learning more and more about the boys with every variety show, every interview, etc. and... I admit, there's some anxiety that they may say or do something that throws my characterization out the window, but so far it looks like I'm on track. And originally I planned the story through Jinyoung's perspective, but I realized that it would downplay the importance of the other plotpoints that I wanted to introduce. So I went with JB instead ^^
And the seeds of the plot were planted in this and the previous chapter, the next one will be where the real story unfolds :)
