This is absolutely brilliant and amazing and ohholyfreakingshithisisklfjghaksdjfghakjdhfke.

The way you describe everything is so sttnning and vivid and fresh and just zdfjghakdjfhaakdsfh some more. ._.

I like the way you don't have entire groups as survivors. Like it's just Onew but dammit, my precious SHINee and Infinite, I want them to not be dead, why are they dead, this is not cool, I do not approve, my precious boys *cries*. Sure, B2st is still alive, all of them -- I think? But they're separated, and they don't know that two of their missing members are okay. It's a painful thing to witness, this breaking down of their humanity as they cope -- Hyunseung, precious boy -- but it happens and you've giving this such a real edge.

And Henry. Donghae. Super Junior. New and definitely not Improved. *does not want* My gut hurts thinking about Henry in this position. I was the quotes around their names, but no quotes around Donghae's. Does that mean he went along with it willingly? Is Donghae unaudited -- or whatever the auditors did to the people? .... What does auditing mean in this sense, anyway? Anyway, distracted me, I love how (assuming Donghae isn't audited) he interacts with Henry. Doonghae, stupid foolish innocent moron, doesn't seem to have any idea of what's going on. He's the alien-obsessed prat, after all. Why doesn't he understand? Iss he really so overcome with Super Junior being his family and support, as gkdfjhakd-ish as they are in the here-and-now of the story that he carefully avoids seeing these new faults that mark them as something other than human/normal?

And then Kyujong's bit where he's at the bridge with Gain and Jokwon and holy crap, that line just rips at my heart. .....against a background of destroyed suburbia. There was a music video in there somewhere, but neither Super Junior nor SS501 had the right image for it.
I just....there are no proper words for this. We all know how to envision this, the destruction of the world as we know it. Society is trying to desensitize the public to the aspects of war and destruction, but this gives it a tie these boys, a tie for the fans reading. Fans that know SJ and SS501 well will look at it and go -- "It's true. They're too immature or too young or too "pretty". Trying to survive the end of the world is not a concept for them." And yet here they are, doing it. .... Well, not SJ. But you get my drift. And it's beautiful....but achingly painful.
And again with Kikwang's thoguht that the fallen wasteland reminded him of the set for Soom (I believe?) as he searched for Onew. It gives them more support as characters and it gives us fans and readers more of a vision of what's happening both visually and even a bit mentally/emotionally for the boys and just..... I don't have the words for this.

It's beautiful. Amazing. Phenominal. And oh-so achingly painful.
I eagerly look forwrad to your next update.
...... Do you mind if I stalk add you as a friend so it's easier for me to find this? :3

Your comment. It is full of win and helpful points for me to keep in mind while writing the next chapters. <3

I would love to discuss more, but posting fine details about the characters and plot would turn into spoilers so I'll just keep my responses generic for now. I hope that the future chapters can answer your questions, particularly about the characters. 'Specially about Donghae. He holds a very special place in my heart for this story.

That line in the chase scene with Kyujong, Gain, and Jokwon... Originally, I wrote a slightly different version of it as a throw-away line. Then when I was reading through the section, I came to the same realization as yours. That their idol images are too soft or too sparkly or yes, too pretty for this kind of setting... but this is what happened. And they're dealing with it in their own ways. They're all trying to maintain their humanity in their own ways, and some are doing better than others. *sad look at some characters*

I can't discuss more beyond this since your other inputs are plot-related, thus making answering them very close to spoilerific. Thank you for asking them, though. It helped me gauge how well my ideas are transmitting through the fic <3

And thank you for adding me! Friends are always welcome :D I can't add back at the moment because some friends and I are working on a soon-to-be-launched project in some f-locked posts. Once we finish that, though, I'll add you back <3
