...which stands for Pool.

Just think about it for a second. Pool. You'd figure it'd be an enclosure filled with water to be used for swimming. Or simply, a large amount of water amassed in one point. But wait, there's the game! The one with the green felt, 6 holes, and the balls that you sink into the holes. What meaning of "pool" made the developers of this game to call it that? Maybe it's cause the balls sink. Who knows.

But thinking of more descriptive names for the game. Like Basketball- a game involving a basket and a ball- there should be a more appropriate name for this game. So I began thinking about it. What is involved in pool?
-sticks
-balls
-holes.

And that's it. So we can give it a name like "Sticks and Balls". It makes sense, you use your stick to hit balls into other balls to make them go places. I don't see how this could be taken any other way. Oh, wait. People are perverts and I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING. So let's think of a new name.

How about "Sticks, Balls, and Holes"? ...Okay, I get it. Next!

"Holes and Poles"? Still not good. It needs to be a descriptive name about the game that can't be confused with something else. (Why are you still thinking about things like that? Shame on you. Shame! ...shame.)

"Cup the Balls!" sounds good, if you rename the pockets as cups, which they pretty much are. OH COME ON, PEOPLE. Fine, I'll try something else.

Okay, if we REALLY want to get descriptive about it, where you can't possibly mistake the title, why not "The Game Where Everyone Takes Turns Bending Over"? Oh I see. Your thoughts betray you again, do they?

Fine. "BALLS!". It's probably what I'll be shouting when I play it anyway, since I'm not very good at the game.
