Oh shit what's going on there. Hi again, I'm back for our second update into generation 2. As you can tell, that is most certainly not Rushton (
alleliua)...so who is it? Let's get on with it!
First up, we have Nanette cracking her knuckles. She's a little stressed out, because a lawyer's job is never done. Not even when on maternity leave.
She takes conference calls almost daily.
Aww, well that's nice of you Charlie (clealry his first grandson is not enough.)
Of course, Charlie and Bekah still smustle.
Everywhere. All the time. And they match, so I just let them do it.
Nanette is getting a little peeved by it, though.
She's especially upset because she found Rushton cuddled up to her one night. Some days, she doesn't even know why she married him.
In his former life, Charlie was a safecracker. And a zombie, but let's not go there.
Family members settle in for a vaguely silent meal of burnt pancakes. Way to go, Charlie! (8 cooking skills and he burns pancakes?)
Nanette finally gets fed up with being home and drives to work. She also has to make a court appearance on behalf of a client, so she's dressed up.
While she's out, Rushton resumes stalking her parents.
Told ya she had a case :p
Katricia comes to visit once Nanette is off work. It would seem I deleted her hair.
Eleanor and Bromine too? Rushton, what have you done?
Oh dear.
Bekah brushes off the old chair, and offers Katricia a free hair styling.
She certainly hasn't lost her touch.
Katricia is thrilled with the extensions.
And now you know who Nanette is kissing on.
Man...everyone's attracted to everyone in this freakin' family.
Nanette arrives home, only for her water to break.
Everyone rushes towards her, except for Rushton, because he's dumb.
Really classy.
Meet Logan Lykeli.
Mom's eyes, dad's hair and skin.
Say goodbye to your momma little guy, she probably won't touch you much over the next year.
Bekah's incredibly excited about one of her grandchildren being near and accessible daily.
It has been in Katricia's wants forever to fall in love with Nanette.
Now she can.
Phase 2 complete.
How unfortunate.
Oh my..
the previous 12 slides brought to you by this weeks challenge:
The Co-Parenting Challenge: break up with/divorce your heir's current partner. You may choose whether to go for the quick (adultery) or slow (alienation) way out. Your ex-partner has to move out of the house.*
Nanette felt better already.
Rushton realized that he had nothing in the house aside from the clothes on his back and he walked away.
Life became much more enjoyable for Nanette preceding her impending divorce.
She even relaxed a little and restyled her hair.
She got to relax when she went to sleep at night.
Even the roaming ghosts couldn't bother her.
Her heart absolutely ached for Logan though.
As long as her dad was around, she thought everything would be alright...but she knew that her dadn't wouldn't be around forever.
Despite the morbidity of the situation, Nanette had moe fun in 2 days of being alone than she'd had in 5 years of marriage.
She even managed to play chess without a single interruption
Generally, the butler fed and bathed the child. Nanette had never been the coddling type.
But she was going to have to learn. She knew her mother wouldn't be around forever to shower Logan with affection, and she knew that she couldn't keep up with the expense of a butler past this day.
She started inviting clients to her home more.
And within weeks of her son's first birthday, she dismissed the butler from duty.
She was starting to face reality. Rushton had been an absolute snake in court and had manged to negotiate that an alimony be paid to him as a condition of the divorce.
He didn't even seem to care about Logan, and when prompted about visitation, he hadn't argued for or against it. He was entirely ambiguous.
But she knew that Logan would be loved.
(I guess that when a sim dies of disease they go to the spot where they died and reenact their death several times? It was really weird..)
Following the finalization of her divorce, Nanette went out.
Whether it had been the merlot she'd been drinking, or that she was excited to finally be free, Nanette brought a man home.
She supposed she'd regret it in the morning...
