6:36 in the morning

i met a man tonight who defended art from the tangible. i bet him $100 dollars that bing crosby did not write, or perform, the song Can You Spare A Dime, and i lost. i went to give him $100 when it turned out, although i'm not sure how, he was right. he wouldn't accept the money, and instead simply thanked me for the beer i'd already bought him for his earlier mentioned defence of art from the tangible.

the above happened at Rhino.

then we went to Lee's Palace...

me and helen played some bubble hockey and tied because the puck fell down the centre slot. we both decided to dance and didn't. we enjoyed the faces and postures.

then we went to future's bakery...

cecilia dropped by and i taunted her for possessing a womb. she threatened me. i feigned fear. helen bounced a piece of cigarette foil off my forehead. that last part was a lie.

we came home and sat on the back porch drinking beer (me) and white wine (her). we talked about the appalachians and the old pennsylvania/transylvania childhood confusion issue. we talked the relative differences between mountains and prairie and ocean wracked rock and european churches. we discussed the various means of moving between these things. we were quietly amazing. not living to be done. moon on the meadow. cars that run.
