Company X-Pittsburgh
Just talked to the recruiter at Company X-Pittsburgh and they want to fly me out for an interview next week! Apparently they are located ON the actual CMU campus (along with some other companies, like Apple) in the Collaborative Innovation Center, which is tucked between Hamburg Hall and Panther Hollow (I've never seen the building, but it must actually sit on the side of Panther Hollow, because the driveway next to Hamburg was right at the end of the Panther Hollow Bridge and there was no room for a building there). They have a unique collaborative relationship with both CMU and Pitt, are about 70-ish employees now and looking to expand to around 125. All in all, it sounds even more fantastic than I could've imagined. I'm sooooo geeked to be interviewing there!
The only drawback is that the time between the interview and any possible offer is 2-3 weeks due to their hiring processes, which might be beyond my timetable for other offers. We'll see how it goes.
