We watched it last night. I enjoyed it a lot. It made me laugh and cry. I found all of the big name cameos a little distracting, but still it was a very thoughtful and moving flick. Emma Thompson and Will Ferrell both give great performances in different ways -- Thompson is a chain smoking writer with lots of tics and emotion, whereas Ferrell is a lifeless drone and he delivers a surprisingly subtle and nuanced performance. I found Dustin Hoffman's turn as a literary professor to be the weakest part of the film. All in all, though, a great movie that reflects on some very interesting philosophical questions.
