Sincere Readers-
My ACT class is crazy amazing- difficult, but amazing. School in general is getting better- not because it was bad in the first place, but because I really hate the first month or so of school. I really like to be in a rhythm and transitioning from a summer schedule to a school schedule is hard, but I'm learning to adjust.
In ACT, we've been reading from Pascal, Plato, and St. Augustine. They're all really, really hard to understand and really deep, but every once in a while I'll read a part that just smacks me up side head- and it's awesome.
I'll just leave you some things to ponder--I hope they rattle your brain, heart, and soul as much as they did mine.
"For where I found Truth, there I found my God, the Truth itself; which since I learnt. I have not forgotten. Since then I learnt Thee, Thou residest in my memory; and there do I find Thee, when I call Thee to remembrance, and delight in Thee. These be my holy delights, which Thou hast given me in Thy mercy, having regard to my poverty." -St. Augustine
"And this is the happy life, to rejoice to Thee, of Thee, for Thee; this is it, and there is no other." -St. Augustine
"It is good to be tired and wearied by the vain search after the true good, that we may stretch out our arms to the Redeemer." -Blaise Pascal
"If man is not made for God, why is he only happy in God? If man is made for God, why is he opposed to God?" -Pascal
