Carnivorous Crickets
Current mood: nauseated
Who knew Jiminy Cricket was a cannibal? I try to feed Ra, and the crickets are tunneling holes through the dead mouses' flesh. It is a gross labyrinth of pink flesh. And why did I decide to get a snake? Frickin A.

Well, it has been some time. I honestly cannot say I can justify taking the time to write this! I barely have time lately to take a good crap. Anyway- some highlights of the last while, one would definately be the vacation in DE. There was the wave that took all our breaths away, and Aaron's glasses, Letta crying like a baby cause she was sick, Oliver and Jordan enjoying the sound of sand against Michaels tent fabric, Aaron and Adam's "quick" 3 hour hike, (and might I mention, 25 photos of the same bird)the monsoon like rain that soaked Chris and Vanessa's castled tent, and all of their belongings, and the 10 or so dollars in quarters it took to dry it, the huge pit the men dug, and the site of Chris, Aaron, and Adam in it digging together...okay, it was a fun trip. On to some more news...if you read my blog post before this one, you might have noticed I have a snake. He is a garter, caught in Sunbury PA, his name is Ra, and he won't eat. In other pet news, Caffeine the catfish kicked the bucket and his body rests somewhere in the drain pipes of Steelton. Not to mention 12 minnows that were meant as Ra's dinner. RIP, fish. The cats enjoy their freedom outside - and I like no cat litter to scoop. I suppose they are leaving logs in people's yards...they do in mine. Luke the hermit crab also kicked the bucket- his smell will not be missed. Peeyoo! Guen was moved to the K-1 class, she was previously in the 1-2 class. So far so good, she likes her tutor as well, at Rutherford Elem. School. She is catching on FAST. She will be reading soon. I think Halloween costumes are settled for the kids, Heidi is gonna be a princess- maybe Princess Peach ? Oliver the evil Spiderman, and Guen Morticia or a witch. I think Aaron would be cute as Robin, but we can't afford the costume now. We might have to fudge or make new ones. No big whoop. Being poor makes you more creative! Aaron is now exempt at work, meaning he can now take OT without asking for permission. It is not paid for though. He is getting somewhat of an increase, nothing major. But better than nothing. Trying to get the porch done, still. It is caulked, and we started painting. We don't have much time left, the weather is getting cold and damp. Not painting weather. Vanessa had her baby shower, it was a good time. I enjoyed the tour of the church. I love old churches- they have character and a feeling. Life has been flying by- I feel getting up so early has made me feel that more, for some reason. Maybe because during the week, I see my girls and husband so little. Aaron sometimes works til 2 am, and I am sleeping. Makes it weird. No more eating together as a family. Kinda sad. Well, I am going to go tuck my girls in. Oh- let me leave you with a funny note. The other night I went to bed at like 2 am, and woke up in a panic thinking I missed the alarm- I ran upstairs and woke the girls up, made them get dressed, and come downstairs for breakfast. They were SOO tired and they were like "It is so dark out mommy!" And I said "it is getting dark earlier in the mornings" Well, I look at the clock- incredulously, and it reads 3:45 AM! I double checked like 3 other clocks, all the same! The poor girls were grateful I let them go back to sleep for 3 hours. I don't know what I was thinking!
