I'm pretty sure I haven't thrown out many of the various aerosol product cans I have used on this van so far.
There's white zinc, black zinc, blue zinc, yellow zinc, and zinc it.
White Duplicolor, matte hi-temp.
Degreaser, brakleen,
carburettor cleaner,
crc, wd40.
Up to 60 cans, anyway, hard to count from the picture. Assume average $11-$12 per can. Something like $500 of paint, $200-$300 of cleaners. In the box. Bound to be a few more skidding around.
Taking the van in for the wheels. What a frustrating morning. I might have cracked the head by forgetting to ensure it was well watered, I'll find out later. Thing is, they put the wheels on, and the bloody things rub on the brake calipers. OK I FORGOT TO CHECK OK NO I WAS LAZY. Couldn't do alignment with sticking wheels, put the old ones back on, go home.
Screw it. I got the wof on the Starlet instead. That's right, over the last two weeks of ownership, I have changed the clutch, flushed and replaced engine oil and filter, fixed up the handbrake, adjusted rear brakes, and after the van fucked me over once again, I changed the rear wheel bearing on the starlet and got the wof. If you want a car, get a small car.
Well, first I ground back one caliper so it didn't rub any more. Just to prove it could be done.
Tonight I did the other. Not as pretty.
But you know what? Spray degrease it, wash it, dry it with a heat gun, pack it with newspaper...
A good spray of hi-temp manifold paint does the trick.
Blow on it a bit. Good as new.
Stick a wheel on it.
Fuck me! Let's have another look at that shall we?
Do the other one.
Another wheel, not as good.
Take it for a pose. Yeah not bad.
That back wheel looks a bit crap though.
Needs a thin white ring.
ON your FACE.
