Year In Review: First Line of Each Month!
Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2005 (not including memes of course). Post the first line/sentence of it in your journal, and that's your "Year In Review."
January:
I'm dreading today....the beginning of my first full week of work since......October 18
February:
my parents were up this past weekend for long overdue Christmas pressie exchange. Mostly were clothes and a few silly toys.
March:
So far, Tuesday's winning.....
Round 1: Wakeup Katherine 2 Tuesday 1 (nice snowy walk w/ dog; peanut butter toast for br, but toast burnt)
Round 2: Commute Katherine 0, Tuesday 5 (icy road, forgot train pass, fare machine broken, noisy kids on train, etc)\
April
This morning, I get to the light rail stop and see about 60 people waiting. That's bad news. Usually, there's only about 5 or 6 people, thus I quickly deduce that the system is down & decide to drive into work
May
I'm in training this week for work (FINALLY technical stuff rather than the leadership development bull that I've been sent to recently) so I get to spend a week away from the office, yet near home
June
guavalicious had me thinking about old loves and where they are now.......just found out that my first real boyfriend is now the PE teacher at our old high school
July
We're sticking around here this weekend, but having dinner & a movie (The Aviator) w/ friends at our place tonight, some yardwork and the dog park on Saturday, ?? on sunday, and on Monday, the Pet Costume parade (not w/ Sammy) at the Visionary Art Museum, followed by party/fireworks viewing.
August
I was just looking through an old English Football/soccer magazine and found a quote by a longtime columnist (name now forgotten by me) who described most matches as "Well, it was a game of two halves" such was my weekend...
September
happy post about animals that were caught up in the hurricane... A local animal hospital where people left their pets when evacuating has now successfully evacuated...its not much, but at least there's a few less to worry about.**
October
it FINALLY feels like fall here! had a productive weekend -- got a bunch of banking/billings done, organize the closets, hemmed 3 pairs of preggers pants (because NONE come in short length!), etc
November
My boss, white, middle age engineer w/ no kids, found a new-ish 30G I pod on the side of the road this past weekend.
December
Well, the overwhelmingness of so much work stuff to do, almost all of my holiday shopping to finish, nearly nothing really done for baby/birthing options.....
