So, the president of YSU is gettin' himself an extension on his contract and a guaranteed raise every year till 2010. My question is, what does he do that makes him so important. He makes more money than the President of the United States yearly salary, not that he does a whole lot of good either, but I digress. I just would like to know why he's so important. Does he talk to students and encourage them to come here some how. NO! In fact I never saw the guy for the first 3 years I spent on campus. Does he work to lower tuition rates and make this University favorable for those in lower economic brackets? Nope, he does the opposite, by building pointless things, reworking the land scape every few months and destroying parking lots so students have a harder time making it to class. So why? Why does this jackass get all this praise? I just want to know. I say we fire him. We can have the university run by an oligarchy of tenured professors or something, instead.
Alright, I'm done with that crap. There may be a faculty union strike in a short while, so that'll be fun. They feel they should have a fair contract and benefits, and I agree with them.
