The Summer Vacation (Part 2)

Hey Dearies,

Here is the long awaited second part of "The Summer Vacation."

After we ate at Friendly's, we went home and the next day Jeremiah and Mauresa left to go back home. But the fun for Katie and I had just begun.
I needed a new bathing suit because I only had a takini that was getting too small and an ancient full piece that was ripping at the seams (literally) and the material was so thin, it might as well be see-through. So one Tuesday, my mom, dad, Katie and I decided to go bathing suit shopping, we stopped at all kinds of beach stores but couldn't really find anything decent. Then we stopped over at Evita's Swimwear, and I tried on a great deal of those bathing suits but nothing was JUST right. My dad began to starve because he hadn't realized, I'm sure, what a long and difficult process it is for a girl to get just the RIGHT bathing suit that flatters and supports and isn't see-through..etc. So my mom said she'd take us girls tomorrow to finish our search. Then we left and went to Carabba's to eat. And oolalala what a hottie of a waiter, first off you can't beat having a guy who works at an Italian restaurant and he had long beautiful eyelashes and he was just vunderbar. Even my mom said "He has such pretty eyelashes" .. so it was not only me! And he was a good waiter too, dad gave him a really good tip so he was just good all the way around. :-D Katie couldn't quite appreciate him because she was incredibly sick of Italian food from being with my family for the whole week. lol. So anyway the next day, it was back to bathing suit shopping for us girls. We went to Broadway on the Beach and we didn't really find anything that wasn't a bikini. lol infact we went in one store and asked the guy who was about 20 there and foreign if they sold swimwear there and he said "No, but you wan' a beautIful bathing in broadway fash-i-on" and then went on to tell us how to get there .. lol it was just kind of funny...but unfortunately we had already been there and I hadn't found anything. Well, we then went to Bikini Joe's, which sounds really skanky, but it actually had alot of nice full piece bathing suits and I did end up getting one there. Then we headed over to "Le Plage" and I got another one there. It didn't have a price tag on it and all the bathing suits there were like 70 + dollars but they were having a sale so we asked how much it was and the lady said she'd ask her manager and it was only $20 so I got that one as well. It was a day of full success. The next day, we at at the HOB (House of Blues)for dinner one night and got a prime rib, vegetables, a baked potatoe and a slice of key lime pie for only 8.99...it was a major special that day. Actually, we went there to get tickets to a Jars of Clay concert because they were playing there that Saturday, while we were there eating we found out that if we ate there saturday for breakfast or lunch we could skip the line for the Jars of Clay/Chris Rice/Sarah Kelly concert and they'd let us in if we showed them our bill. So come Saturday, we came for like a brunchish kind of meal and turns out Jars of Clay cancelled out cuz the lead singers wife went into labor. So Katie and I decided we didn't really want to go to the concert anymore if Jars of Clay wasn't gonna be there (even though I do like Chris Rice, but not enough for that price) .. so we went home and mom and dad ended up going to it and they wished we had come cuz apparently it was wonderful. Oh well, next time :) I've already been to a Chris Rice concert before anyway..and Jars of Clay for that matter...! :) I have alot of respect for the lead singer and the band for cancelling for his wife! :) So overall it was a very good trip filled with lots of fun, as i knew it would be! :) Well, I have school in the morning so I'll catchya laters and I'll have pictures soon as well!

Love you,
~*~B~*~
