a ray of light

So today has been pretty interesting. I had another job interview this morning. It went very well and within 5 minutes, the interview was over and they handed me directions to get to the clinic for a drug screen test. :-) Soooo, pending that clearing, I got the job! It's just a part-timer (1 day a week), but it's better than nothing--I'll take it!

I spent the afternoon not really doing much at home. I ran a bunch of errands. Nothing extra ordinary, just random stuff I was out of. As I was checking out of one of the stores, I actually got a really nice compliment. Apparently in order to buy diet-related stuff now you're required to show id proving you're over 18. So, the clerk (a cute boy, couldn't have been more than 18 or 19) came over and asked what it was that I just put in the bag so he could clear it. When he saw what it was, he said, "what do you need that for? you look really pretty to me!" Aww! Major boost. I still got it anyway, but it was really nice of him to say that. :-)

For the record, "40 year old virgin" is NOT a movie to see with your mother. I treated my mom to a movie as something different to do and well, it wasn't what we were expecting. It was an ok movie--cute, but a bit on the crude side.

Anyway. I think I'm in the mood to draw.
