First thing's first- I've been basically ignoring DW lately, so if you've posted anything here and nowhere else that I follow in the last... oh, I don't know, probably month or so that I should know, you might want to tell me. I started trying to catch up and gave up. Apologies. School completely ate me. XD

I'm not going to try to do a whole update since I last posted- it's basically a lot of freaking out and paper writing and finals and whatnot. Nothing terribly interesting. I don't know how it all went because grades aren't due until Monday, so we'll see how that goes. :P It was kind of funny, though- I had two finals this semester, right? Philosophy and Human Sexuality. I was out of BOTH finals in roughly fifteen minutes. Seriously. My total final-taking time was about a half hour. Nice way to end the semester, I guess.

Graduation was yesterday. It was fucking freezing without a jacket or at least a sweater of some kind, partially because they told us to show up an hour and fifteen minutes beforehand, for reasons that are still unclear to me. All that meant was that we stood in lines in the parking lot for over an hour. At 7:30 in the morning. And then the ceremony was outside, sooooo yeah. One of the speakers joked something to the effect of, "to the family and friends visiting from the South... welcome to a beautiful warm spring day in New York." XDDD Which yeah, about covers it. Anyway, it felt like it took forever, but it was really only about 2 1/2 hours, which isn't bad considering the number of people. They actually went through the names portion really quickly. Best of all, my mother was successfully convinced that I didn't even go, so I didn't have to deal with that bullshit AT ALL. :D :D :D :D :D :D I just had to go through a celebratory dinner with Kelly, my mom, my Aunt, and my cousin Caitlyn, which wasn't as much of a disaster as I'd been expecting. It was actually kind of pleasant, even, for the most part. Of course, I also had a (single) bottle of Smirnoff before we left, so that may have helped. ^_^;;; That was the intention- just to take the edge off so I wasn't so annoyed the whole time as I would've normally been. Also awesome- I managed to score $200, between Stef and my Aunt. O_O Which will go straight into paying transfer school monies, since I've been giving them money hand over fist basically. But still nice and takes a little stress out of the money situation with all of these big fees and stuff I've been shelling out money for that I didn't really have.

Regardless of what happens with grades tomorrow, I graduated with honors, and that's pretty fucking cool. It was weird, though, leaving campus and thinking that this part of my life was over. I still have two more years of college, but my time at THIS college is done. Strange. And I have to say that my time there was overall very positive, despite my crying and whining and how I was ready to quit the first semester. In the end I didn't, and that's what counts. XD (That being said, looking back on it, I would have talked the assistant advisor out of putting me into college level Trig my first semester back, when I hadn't been in a math class in ten years and barely passed Math III as it was. That was just cruel. I also wouldn't have taken Art History, but that's a different matter. XD) I had a lot of great teachers and read a lot of fun things and won some cool awards, so. It's all good. :)

I'm not sure if I'm working over the summer yet. DeAnne said she'd let me know if she had tutoring or something for me, so we'll see. Regardless of what, I have a long list of things to do over summer break- so much so that I put them into sections with individual headings. XD I'm not sure how much of it I'll actually be able to get done, but at least there's variety. All kinds of media (even books! FOR FUN BOOKS! <3), health, fandomy stuff, things to make transfer a smoother transition hopefully, money, cleaning my damn bedroom (because it got a little insane through finals, oops)... you get the idea. I won't bore you with the whole list. :P Point is, it's going to be a busy summer regardless!

One of the first things I need to do- and have taken beginning steps to deal with it today- is lose weight. I knew I'd gained back most (if not all) of the weight I'd lost a few years ago, since I'd gone back to school. I'd intended to start working on it today anyway. But it never REALLY hit me how bad it had gotten until I saw the pictures that Stef and Kelly took at graduation. Holy FUCK, no wonder I'm so miserable. JFC. So I got on the scale today for the first time in months, wanted to cry even though it wasn't as bad as I'd feared (almost, but not quite- another 6.5 pounds and there likely would've been actual tears) and have been tracking calories. It helps that the site I've been using for this stuff for ages apparently decided to make their phone app free where it definitely wasn't before. Convenient. Anyway, I'll shut up about this now, because this has never been a diet/weight loss blog and never WILL be a diet/weight loss blog, so I won't go on about it like I do on the other website. If you DO want that stuff, just look me up by the same username on Sparkpeople. Join and be my friend there, if you want! The site is free and you can use however much or little of it as you want. Mostly I've used it in the past for the inspiration/journaling/community/keeping myself accountable portion, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's a great resource even if you just read the articles.

Anyway, the library closes really soon and I have two books that I've checked out (The Hunger Games and Struck By Lightning, if anyone's curious), plus I'm hungry and have a caffeine headache, so I'm going to get going. Later! I should be able to be around a bit more now, at least over the summer anyway. :P
