We know this is what happens when I don't post for a week.

☁ Clearly, I messed up NaBloPoMo already- I didn't even START, despite all intentions. That's a record for me. Whoops. XD

☁ It's incredibly amusing to me that when Gamefly shipped L.A. Noire, which happened to be the first 360 game I rented, they sent me an e-mail that basically boiled down to "Don't fuck up the disks." Likely it's because they've had issues in the past, but still. It kind of goes without saying that you don't want to be moving the console around and shit when it's on and the CD IS MOVING. Just saying.

Speaking of, I'm actually really enjoying the game. There are a few annoyances (autosave and car chase scenes, most notably), but overall it's really cool. The graphics are stunning and it's almost like an interactive movie, which is awesome. Though it gets quite creepy at times and is therefore probably not the best thing to be playing by myself at 3am. It has made me jump out of my skin on at least one occasion. ^_^;;; (Like right now, I'm going through this crypt with this freaking music and I'm totally waiting for the bad guy to jump out at me and scare me to death. GAH. CREEPED THE HELL OUT.) I'm torn at the moment though, because I really need to send it back and move on to the next game. But I want to finish this, and I'm not sure I'd want to buy it. Cool, yes. But replay factor is pretty much nill. Meh. :/

☁ Totally got ripped off at work last week. :( Okay, so last Saturday, I had a guy get a bunch of stuff- razors and some Prilosec, if I remember correctly. Expensive shit. It was in the ballpark of a $150- $200 transaction. He was also a giant pain in my ass, and while I had the thought at the time that he might've been trying to distract me, we were short staffed and busy and there really wasn't anything I could do about it, you know? Okay. So the next day, he came back with the stuff wanting a refund, but he lost his receipt. Okay, so note that we do NOT have a "no receipt, no return" policy, just for the record. Without a receipt, I had to give him store credit though, it didn't matter that I remembered the guy. I wouldn't have even done the refund at ALL, considering the amount of money, except that I =did= remember him from the day before. Also consider that with the company I work for, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. If you follow company policy and the customer complains, you get in trouble. If you don't follow company policy and do what they want, you still get in trouble. So it's basically a "bend over and take it" scenario, got me? Soooooo I did the refund. Obviously.

Weeeeeell, turns out that the reason he didn't have his receipt was because he'd already done the return at a different store. So in addition to getting the money card, he'd stolen stuff to return it. GAH. >_< Then of course I got the talk from Mr. Bossman, "I know why you did it, but...." Urgh. I'm not REALLY in trouble, but it's still kind of like... what would you like me to do? Seriously? And then I got to talk to a fun Loss Prevention guy who wanted to know basically everything I remembered about the original transaction. At that point, it was Monday. Which is like... dude, it's been two days and it was a super busy weekend. Do you know how many transactions I've done in the last two days? And you want me to remember every minute detail of ONE? Are you kidding me?

Needless to say, I've been super nervous about doing refunds the last week.
☁ Glee- I don't even want to talk about it. I had a feeling they were going to go there at some point,  because the show is a trainwreck, and of course they totally did. Just. Eugh. The best part of the episode was Burt. He is so awesome. I love how when Sue's going off on him, he just stands there with this amused expression that says, "Is that all you've got?" On the upside, preview shows another Klaine kiss~! SO FREAKING CUTE, I'M TELLING YOU GUYS. The few bright spots (Burt, Shannon, Mike, Klaine) make watching this... almost worth the pain, sometimes. XD

☁ Looks like Walmart has an exclusive on the HP special edition DVD again. *growls* I am still not interested in Bluray, WB. Quit shoving it down my throat just because I want the special edition version. Pain. In. My. Ass. SO glad that this is the last time I have to deal with this bullshit, let me tell you. I'm debating whether to pre-order the movie or wait till later. Hmmmmmmm.

☁ Apparently I just don't like fish if it's not fried to hell? I've tried grilled salmon before- multiple times- and just. *gags* (And yes, it was cooked right at least one of the times, before anybody says anything. XD IT TASTES LIKE CAT FOOD SMELLS.) It was suggested to me to try tilapia, as that's a milder fish. So I bought some. In one word: blech. XP I mean, it wasn't the WORST THING EVER. It was certainly better than the salmon. But it was still... not something I enjoyed, that's for sure. Yuck. And there was nothing wrong with it, because I gave the rest to Kelly and she thought it was really yummy. Oh well. XD Now I know, right?

☁ New pillows are weird. :/ I tend to be a stomach sleeper (Which puts me in quite the minority, apparently. I AM THE 7%!) (...sorry, had to. XD), and am therefore supposed to have a firm mattress and a soft pillow. I got the soft pillow last week, and it's actually a freaking DISTRACTION. I probably just need to get used to it since I've never had one like this, but until then, I keep waking up a million times a night because my brain is all "Pillow is too soft, mrrrrr! Must wake up and rearrange self! AGAIN!" It's not even that soft- the label says it's "medium". WTF, brain. O_o

Speaking of, I need to sleep. I had intended to use the extra hour to, yanno, SLEEP, but I've been sitting here reading fanfic instead. EPIC FAIL.
