TL;DR Entry
It's occurred to me that I've been lazy with the journal again. Sigh. There's not a lot going on, exactly, just... lazy. Yeah. That pretty much covers it. Also I've been sick the last couple of weeks, so that's pretty much sucked out any motivation I had to do ANYTHING. Including journals and LJ RP and commenting and UGH.
♥ Olympics reaction cliffnotes: YAY! We're doing so awesome so far, although Germany and Norway have been doing really well too. Shaun White is amazing, I'm so psyched that Evan Lysacek beat out Evgeni Plushenko (Can't stand Plushenko, he's a gigantic prick. Actually would've been happy if ANYONE beat him.) , Apollo Ohno SO shouldn't have gotten that silver medal because he should've been disqualified for pushing a guy before he even got to the final race, two South Koreans knocking each other out in one of the men's speed skating races was just about the funniest thing ever. Women's moguls was awesome. \o/ Also, in general, Canada has to step it up. Seriously. Although... men's hockey is going to be REALLY interesting. Can't wait to see what ends up happening there.
♥ Found my Photoshop disk finally. YAY. However, getting it to work was not so much yay. Just... issues. Had to install a patch so it would work in Vista, which was fine, but then every time I tried to open the editor it gave me all these errors and closed. Uninstalled it, reinstalled it, tried using the "fix files" option, nothing helped. My google-fu isn't that great, but -eventually- I did find a fix that worked. It only took nearly four and a half hours to install the program. -_-
Regardless, I now have Photoshop Elements 5 on the lappy, whee! \o/ Let's just hope I don't get totally obsessed with it this time around. ^_^;;;
♥ Speaking of lappy, I got one of those cooling mats (basically it's a fan that the laptop sits on and it plugs into one of the USB ports)... I now have a much happier lappy. Which makes me a happier Ver, since that means that lappy will last longer without the liking to overheat very easily for no apparent reason thing.
♥ Also I hate snow. We've been pretty lucky this year where I live- the South has been getting all of our snow, it seems like, though we've still had plenty of the ice and cold. Well... we've gotten pounded the last couple of days, and it's supposed to continue until Monday. From what I can figure, we're looking at at least 2-3 feet of snow by the end of this. Yay. At least I didn't have to go to work Tuesday, that's been the worst so far, but... I also have to work the rest of the week. Ugh. Methinks I more than likely need to be leaving early if I want to get to work on time. D:
♥ Recently found out that one of my aunts likes a bunch of the same music I do. Kinda weird. She's on a kick about us going to a concert this summer. See... this is the thing about facebook. I never really talked to my aunt that much, since they live in a different state and visits were rare when I was a kid- once a year, usually. So to be honest, even though we're related, I don't KNOW her that well. But facebook makes it easier for her to message me and that's a little... *cough* Awkward. I don't have a problem with my aunt, just... like I said. I don't know her. I don't even have my slightly younger cousins friended on facebook because I'm not going to assume they WANT me on their lists just because we're related. Though maybe that's just me and maybe I'm being weird about all this. Ugh. Facebook makes family interaction easier and hence a lot more complicated, FTL.
♥ Not much else going on. Like I said, been sick, so feeling like crap. The shitty part about that is I was all motivated before that, too, and then... yeah. I'm better than I was, though, so hopefully this won't last too much longer. My older sister needs a place to stay between apartments, so she's moving in this weekend to (hopefully) stay for a month. I love my sister, don't get me wrong, but she drives me crazy sometimes. The bummer is that at the end of March, she's moving to Texas. I don't want her to move. ;_;
Alright. Shutting up now, promise. ^_^;;; Maybe next time it won't be so long between entries and I won't feel the need to ramble on like this. One can hope.
