Gingerbread Baking and Gift Bag Stuffing, and other Festive Fun
I'm hosting a small dinner party tomorrow night (7 guests total), and went grocery shopping today. I'm having beef tenderloin, with English pea salad, Brussels sprouts, rolls, and a dessert bar, plus champagne and red wine.
Each guest gets a small loaf of gingerbread that I made today, and a Christmas magnet note pad. Their gift bags are stuffed and ready--yay!
I've also dusted, scrubbed the bathroom from head to toe, installed a new toilet seat, and done laundry and more laundry.
So tomorrow is going to be a mopping and cooking day--the great thing is that this stuff (recipes from December '08 Southern Living) is really simple. I'm heading over to a friend's house at 7, but if I'm a good girl (and I need to be), I'm coming back home before 9 and make the pea salad and finish Christmas cards.
