7 Years On
MSNBC was airing archival footage of 9/11 this morning. I sat and watched it all unfold again--before it was over, there were tears streaming down my face, but I looked at this as an offering of prayer for all the people affected by that tragic day.
Last fall, the 9/11 Memorial Group brought a steel girder from the WTC here to Memphis, along with related exhibits (items recovered in the rubble, a short video, etc.), and I had the opportunity to sign the girder, which is now in New York City at Ground Zero.
Today is a day of remembrance, reflection and prayer for me, and I'm holding up all of my friends in my thoughts, wherever you are.
