Valentine's Day Party & Ramblings
Tonight at church for my EFM group: I've baked Valentine's Day cupcakes in my heart-shaped pans (cooling now), and everybody gets a treat bag, filled with candy (dark chocolate Dove hearts, dark chocolate marshmallow-filled Russell Stover hearts, suckers, conversation hearts and mini-M&Ms), a red glass heart-shaped tealight holder, a pencil, and a Dilbert sticky-note pad!
I watched the Grammys last night, and I especially enjoyed the tributes to the Beatles, from "Love", with Cirque du Soleil, and "Across the Universe", which I just bought yesterday at Target, but haven't watched yet. Ringo's just so great, and it was good to see Yoko and George's widow there.
It's hard for me to believe just how old these guys are, because I was all of 5 or 6 when they first started breaking over here; they just seem suspended in time (sort of like Tina Turner, who still looks good). It was great to hear "Proud Mary", although they left out the verse with the Memphis reference. Hmmph!
