Somebody at my church started a "Secret Cupid" program; we pulled names yesterday to find out who our Valentine Secret Pal is, and for the next 3 weeks, we're supposed to give them little anonymous gifts on Sunday.
I picked up a red heart-shaped picture frame, a purple and red-sequinned treasure box, and a tiny Valentine's Day waterglobe with a bear in the middle, wearing a pink dress.
I also found the coolest things at my favorite local bookstore--old-fashioned Valentines (like the kind kids used to exchange back in the dark ages when I was in elementary school--that would be 1964, my first grade year, for those of you playing along at home), and I'm going to use some of those for this, as well as my EFM Valentine's Day Party.
Then the first Saturday night in February, we're having "Dinner & a Movie" at Faith Church. The movie is "Chocolat", so in honor of the occasion, and the season, I'm making chocolate fondue.
Now, off to change clothes (a stop by a local funeral home) and then out to EFM this evening.
