I'm halfway through typing this bloody paper--will finish it this evening; feeling quite accomplished, actually.
There's a woman at our church who's having a very tough pregnancy, and some of us in our Pastoral Care group have been taking food over; she has a husband, an infant son (can't be much more than 1) and a school-age boy. I rustled up some brownies and a macaroni and cheese casserole, to which I added cubed sharp Cheddar and shredded mild Cheddar, and a topping of an egg beaten with milk and pepper. Cooked that for 15 minutes, and instant comfort food.
I took that to her this morning, and now have to make another trip out to the wilds of Germantown to pick up some baked goods for the Antiques Arcade outreach fundraiser this weekend. See why I have to do this paper today? Oh, and for kicks and giggles, I'm making 2 chess cakes for the Friday night preview party. Bible study tonight, women's group tomorrow night, Friday night preview party, Saturday and Sunday bake sale booth.
I'm as busy now as I was when I was working--but not working (at that place) feels soooooooooo good.
