A Great Saturday
Yesterday was wonderful--a beautiful, bright fall day that I got to spend with 3 of my very favorite people.
2 of my oldest girlfriends took me to lunch for my bday, and we went to Paulette's, one of my very favorite places in town. I had the crabmeat crepes with a sherry sauce and the hot chocolate crepe for dessert, and one friend had the salmon with gorgonzola sauce and a hot chocolate crepe, while another had a huge grilled chicken salad and key lime pie.
We just have so much fun together--we've known each other for years, singing together in the choir, the 2 of them were in my wedding, and just all around good girly fun--emphasis on fun.
Then last night I went out with another friend (of the male persuasion) to dinner at Le Chardonnay, a classy little bistro in midtown, where we both had citrus glazed grouper and polished off a bottle of Pinot Grigio, followed by going to see "Doubt" at Playhouse on the Square.
And this is my last week to work--5 days and counting! Woo Hoo! Oh, and I'm baking cookies to take to EFM tomorrow night.
