My hair literally froze solid this morning. I touched it, and I felt curls that were encased in ice, completely solid, no give at all. I didn't actually hear crunching, the way I would if I stepped on ice in a puddle, but the feeling was kind of similar. Except that this is MY HAIR we are talking about here. It's a strange feeling. O_O
And the sad part is that this isn't even the first time this happened to me. It happens pretty much every year - I go outside after washing my hair, on a crisp winter morning, and I realize that my head is really cold, but I don't really do anything about it, and then after a few minutes of this, I reach up to touch my hair, and it's FROZEN SOLID, OMG. And yet, despite all that, I *still* keep going out with wet hair and without a hat. I just never learn, do I. *g*
On the plus side, this is finally the perfect time to use my winter icon. I do love winter, frozen hair and all. :D
Also, I've got to say, LJ's new statistics feature kind of freaks me out a bit. I see what people meant a while ago about the "my guests" feature being disturbing. I can live with overall statistics, but it's still a bit disconcerting to know exactly *who* is visiting my LJ, usernames, default icons and all. It's not disconcerting enough that I will turn that feature off, though, so be warned. Of course, if you set yourself to invisible, I won't be able to see who you are, just that "An Invisible Guest" was there, which might be better for everybody, in any case.
