Yes, I am having naming issues again. The names are stupid, feel to offer suggestions.
Group chat can be a useful function. It can also mean that you waste time scrolling through dozens of posts from your friends that consist of acronyms and emoji and miss out on the one important message.
Rodrigo had nothing but time at the moment, ever since his collapse. The drugs kept him sleepy, so he rarely stirred from his bed or the couch. The fact that his call to Abe for a change in clothes resulted in dozens of people descending on this hotel kept him isolated, his own embarassment at the situation meaning he didn't want to see anyone. He was quite sure that Abe, Dario, Val and Wil resented the executive decision to move the entire circus here. He knew they resented Nina.
Some combination of the five of them had been rehearsing, touring, and doing events for 12 years. Even when they weren't actively going to the next thing, they talked and partied together. They shared vacations and birthdays. They didn't live together or share family; they occupied that weird space between "bros" and "brothers". Somehow Nina had broken the skin on the puddling that was their group. Her existance made their others uneasy.
If he were being honest, Rodrigo has uneasy about almost everything at the moment. NIna was the only stable point in his life. He wasn't home, but he wasn't on the road. He wasn't working, but he wasn't free of the apparatus of touring. He was suspended between public and private life with no clear role for himself. Without a clear signpost of who he was supposed to be, he wasn't any of them. Nina was new in his life, so she wasn't actively comparing him to the person he was before.
