(no subject)
Work was the usual. I left and went to pick up dinner for Canadian Rob and Syd at chargrill. We hung around for a bit then Syd and I split to go to the View.
I was very pleased with the outing.
We showed up around 8:30 pm. There was no cover to get in. Griffin was already there so Syd and I attempted to play pool. I have now confirmed that neither of us is very good at it but it was still fun. I played some with Syd, then Eric, and Michiel. When enough people got there I backed away and hung out with Syd, Layla, and others at one of the tables being happy and flirty.
The pool tables were free, the area was clean (for a bar), and the pool area is far enough away from the tv's that we could have conversations without yelling.
The people that came out were:
Syd, Griffin, Michiel, Sarah, Brett, Layla, Eric, Rob, Jeff, Justin, Matt, Aubrey, a few rocky kids. There were of course a few people I didn't know but it was still loads of fun.
Around 11:30 the people in one half near the bar started getting loud and tipsy and spilled over into the pool table area. At this point we decided that since Layla was hungry Syd, Justin, Eric, and I would take her to Denny's to eat.
:: smiles :: I decided to buy dinner for them which they grumbled about but it made me happy. I follow the idea that at some point the favor will be returned and until I really don't care much as long as I can spoil those I care about.
There was much laughter, much fun. All in all a great evening.
