Watersports

Yesterday Raun and I decided to go out to Stockton Lake. I finally got to do something I've always wanted to do...ride on a jet ski! Well, a WaveRunner, anyway. I always thought that "jet ski" was the generic term for "personal water craft." Turns out it's a brand name (Kawasaki, I think? WaveRunner is Yamaha.) It was so much fun, albeit at times really rough, so now I'm sore all over! It would have been best to go on a day when there was absolutely no wind. When the water is glassy, the WaveRunner just glides over the surface.
I even drove it for a little while, with Raun on the back. I thought I'd be really cautious with it, but it's hard not to want to go at full throttle when you're behind the wheel! We went completely airborne a couple of times. Raun was like, "I saw a side of Megan I've never seen before..." Haha!
We ate dinner on the sailboat with his parents, then started for home at about 9:00 pm. We saw a HUGE armadillo crossing the road! It was the first time I'd ever seen an armadillo, in the wild or otherwise. I'm so glad we saw him in time not to hit him!
I start my job tomorrow...I guess today is just a rest and relaxation day...though we do need to go to the grocery store.
