Too many papers due, too much TV to catch up on to want to bother with them. D:

lol, 4/10 annotations done, can I sleep now? :D :D :D;

Okay, 5/10... I'm totally making progress. I'm just writing too much for these things, but it's hard to summarize them in two short sentences, so I wind up with a paragraph each. x_X; And that's even if I limit myself to only skimming a page of whatever it is I'm annotating. It's kind of terrible. :( I'm apparently way too adjusted to having to fill up space that I don't know how to be concise anymore. It's killing me. D:

Okay, only 2 more, and I don't feel like doing that. Meerrr.

At any rate, Bones is rapidly proving itself to be that surrogate replacement of the X-Files that I've always dreamed of. I feel like it was probably partially inspired and they're really just deciding to run with that now or something. Writing's much better, characters are way more solid, things getting done here. I'm still trying to figure out what Booth's aliens/truth would be. "Love is out there"? "I want to believe ...in the importance interpersonal relationships"? It's hard when Mulder's the socially competent one, it really is. Somehow it also just winds up being a lot more adorable and pathetic when instead of going "OMG, ALIENS EEVEERYWHEEEREE." he's going "DAMNIT, I DO BELIEVE IN MONOGAMY, I DO, I DO. D:"

I guess it's just sadder when the sane one is having to rant and rave as though he's crazy. Of course, that whole brain tumor issue didn't help, and the fact that Sweets seems to have some sort of memory-loss regarding all of his decisions on how to proceed with motivating his patient's character development. "LUL, YOU WEREN'T IN LOVE WITH HER BEFORE YOUR BRAIN SURGERY, WTF?" "Hay, for some reason neither of them seem willing to really admit to the other that they like each other. D:" Yeah. Maybe because you told him the tumor magically made him care, jackass. D:

I love Sweets, I just doubt his competency as a psychologist, is all. >>; He just seems to have this tendency to suddenly bring up issues that aren't really there? "YOU TWO NEVER TALK ABOUT YOURSELVES OR ANY ASPECTS OF YOUR PERSONAL LIVES OR EVER SHARE ANY VULNERABLE MOMENTS WITH EACHOTHER! D:" .. when, you know, Booth sorta had this massive Ishbal-flashback breakdown like, two episodes before that. Not that Sweets was there for that, so it's not really his fault, but the fact that Booth and Bones are just sitting there like "HUH, I GUESS YOU'RE RIGHT." Then again, they do seem to be taking the smile, nod, fake a cellphone call and run the fuck away method to dealing with their psychologist, which is pretty acceptable.

But yeah. Bones = Scully - social skills + obsessed with science to the point of essentially being Mulder-style crazy just on the opposite end of the spectrum. Booth = Mulder + social skills - aliens + THE POWER OF LOVE AND STUFF.

I feel like David Boreanaz would make a kind of amazing Gumshoe, if there were to be such a live-action possibility. All the kicked-puppy moments Booth's been having lately have been making me think of it. It's adequately soul-crushing.

Okay, only one more citation to go, and it's going to wait until morning because my ability to focus is zeeeroooo.

At any rate, officially only one episode behind on Bones, rewatching season 1 of The Big Bang Theory because it is magical. I'm watching too many shows with puppies in them. Granted, Leonard and Booth are two very different puppies, but they essentially spend their whole time being sad and puppy-like and it makes me want to hug them. Booth moreso, since he spends a larger amount of time getting kidnapped/hallucinating/shot than Leonard. And is more socially competent, so most of his terrible puppy-dog moments aren't actually really his fault at all. Eventually I will be caught up on both of these and can pick up another show, and thus be able to have shows! :D To talk to people about! As if I was someone who regularly watched TV or something! :D

bones, school
