(no subject)
Unfortunately I am WAY behind on keeing track of my 3 things and obviously had left some blanks and I can't remember that far back now. To be honest, the weekend sucked and was pretty stressful.
June 15th
First day of work. We played Cranium.
We had a Brownie Camp planning meeting. The first part was really productive.
June 16th
Quite likely my last official day of teaching for this school year! (I taught one student at 7:30am before work and the other at 6:00pm after work) I’m only excited about this because I’ve spent SO much extra time teaching over the past few weeks. And, I will likely see all my students again next week for a short lesson before summer.
Got home from work and had a nap.
The piano recital went well. I’m really proud of my students. :) I can’t wait until the next recital as I will hopefully be playing at it! Also, Karl played and he was AMAZING.
June 17th
Jesse and I had pizza for dinner - yum! It’s totally want I wanted. And then we walked for a while and then had yummy gelato. We went back to his place and watched part 2 of Tin Man. (I can’t wait to see part 3!)
June 18th
We spent most of the day at Ambleside Beach Park. It actually got sunny! (Unfortunately, I got a sunburn >.<)
I saw some really cool seaducks I had never seen before! I think one might have been a Red-breasted Merganser, but I’m not sure. It had ducklings with it!
The Brownie meeting was low-key, with only 4 girls and their parents’ attending. Brown Owl talked to the parents while the rest of the Owls got to show the girls how to pack their bags properly. I am kind of sad that I’m not going to camp only because it would be nice to spend some time at camp with some of the second year girls who I won’t see next year.
June 19th
The summer staff went out for brunch at this cool place in Fort Langley called Wendel’s. It’s a bookstore and a café! I want to go back for sure.
Then we went to Castle Fun Park! I had never been there before. We went Go Carting (way more fun then it was last time I went!) and played mini-golf and other games.
Jessica had a dinner party. It was nice to be able to hang out after a long day at work (yes, there was some actual work involved after we played most of the day) and her kitten is so cute! He kept falling asleep in my arms. <3
June 20th
I went to Will’s piano recital - he’ll be doing his Grade 10 piano exam soon.
I came home and played the piano :)
June 21st
Father’s Day went well. I think Dad liked the stuff Martha and I got for him.
Mom fixed my skirt and my sundress!
I went over to Jesse’s house and we were both happy to be in each other’s company.
