May 25th
Slept in and then went downtown to see a doctor at the clinic Jesse goes to. The doctor thinks he can figure out something to fix one of the problems I’ve been dealing with for 2.5 years now. I hope so! While we were waiting for the appointment to start Jesse got us Japadogs for lunch - yum!
We went around the new convention centre and then along the sea wall to Stanley Park and walked past Lost Lagoon. aww, ducklings! And so many goslings too! Then we walked around the seawall from the pool until the spray pool and cut through the park past the Aquarium and went back along the seawall on the city side.
When Jesse and I were first dating we were going out one evening and he told me to pick the restaurant. There was a place I had passed many times when I was volunteering at the Aquarium and I had always wanted to go there, so I met him after work and we walked, and walked. It was farther than I thought. Eventually I knew we were almost there but I couldn’t see the building. It had been torn down :( After that I was trying to find out if they had opened another location but all I could find was that the owners thought they might open one at a later date. So walking along the sea wall in Coal Harbour we noticed The Crime Lab so Jesse took me out to dinner there after our walk. We sat on the patio and had drinks and excellent food and enjoyed the view.

May 26th
Got up at a decent time and came home to meet up with Heather to make cupcakes for the Teddy Bear Picnic. omg so many cupcakes!
They Teddy Bear picnic went well! I saw a lot of kids from Summer Fun which was nice. I think I strained my voice a bit from all the LOUD talking to get all the kids’ attentions.
Jesse picked me up and we were going to go to the pool but I was so drained so we went for a walk, that I was practically falling asleep during, and then we came home and looked at cute and funny pictures and videos of animals on the interwebs.

May 27th
Spent a lot of the day trying to finish tidying my room. It’s close, but not there yet. I don’t think I can do much more until my shelves are up. I did get my new tropical plants finally put into pots!
Martha came over to get some music and we got to hang out for a bit. aww, sister.
The 3 sisters I teach came over for their first lessons at my house. It was so nice to look at the clock and say, “oh, I teach in 10 minutes… let go get my laundry out of the dryer and fold it!” instead of thinking, “Crap! I’ve got to run up to my parents’ house RIGHT NOW!” and when they left I got to relax for 15-20 minutes and then dinner was ready. So nice!
Went over to Jesse’s and watched a couple of episodes of Mad Men. Things are getting pretty interesting! Unfortunately we were both really attracted to each other, unfortunately because I’m taking part in a HPV Vaccine study starting tomorrow and I can’t have sex for 2 days before the appointment! >.<

May 28th
Got up early and went downtown with Jesse and then went over False Creek and got some tea and walked along W 10th in the sun to VGH. Lots of poking, prodding and sample taking happened after that, but now I have had the first of three shots of an HPV vaccine!
I got a few things done in the afternoon that I’ve been meaning to do for a couple of weeks. yay, off my plate!
Brownies went well. It was the first relaxing meeting we’ve had in a while! Kim came at the end and taught the girls some basic highland dancing :)
Jesse and I went to the pool. Jack met us there and my mom happened to be there too! I hope my wrist will start to feel better.

May 29th
Danielle and Andrew joined me to walk in Central park!
Danielle and I bought got some neat shots of a woodpecker!
Chris and Jamie’s wedding reception was nice and pretty low-key. It was cool to see the traditional Korean outfits and to see the photos from their wedding in Korea!

May 30th
Slept in! Not hung over!
The Girl Guide bike event went really well! The B:C:Clettes are totally awesome. :D
Lots of people came over for the games night, I think I didn’t know 1/3 of them, and we had a lot of fun. So much laughing!

May 31st
yum, french toast for breakfast!
The camp planning meeting was pretty productive overall.
Went over to Jesse’s house after dinner and watched some more Mad Men!
