Bod - update
Bod seems to have returned to his normal self the day after I posted, but I did find out that he had been eating bits of hubby's fresh baked bread! Apparently he was quite determined to nick some and grabbed any when it was in reach - this may well have been entirely responsible for his constant weeing & thirst - high blood sugar.
Anyway - will make an appointment to take him to vets when I get paid. He has been totally normal the rest of this week. Perhaps he is just like his muvver - a bit sensitive to hypos & hypers.
Thanks for your advice - I know its the right thing to do, but I've stopped worrying that he's at death's door now so its a bit easier to face :)
