(no subject)
Well another half term break is looming on the horizon! About time too! I have prepped for an AS level mock for 15 candidates, a real AS for 18 and an A for 10 - my little wrinkled fingers from washing all that glassware! Actually I got presented with a £10 Body Shop voucher (yay - I've been APPRECIATED! WOOOHOOO!) for my work on the AS and a bag of Sticky chelsea buns for the A (which I shared with the other 3 Technicians).
So really I can't complain much - the teachers are sounding tired and are REALLY in need of a break - the TAs come in and cry on my shoulder - and all that stress is what I used to feel!
Now that I have been Technician here for a whole year (yep - I whole year on May 12th!) I still feel a bit guilty because I don't feel anything like as bad as they do. But I'm still loving my job! And they need to lean on me too, so at least I'm still functioning ok!
This year has gone past so quickly and I am slightly guilty (again! - notice a pattern forming here?) of not catching up with my old colleagues from Wey Valley.
I'm not sure if it's because I am having fun and don't like to crow, or because, like some traumatic accident, I have managed to forget how miserably I worked in that hell for so long and have no wish to return.
The fact is it's probably a bit of both, but I am now so much happier that I feel I ought to send a bit of happiness back to the solid team of girls I worked with for four years.
Then again, they could have called/written/phoned me.
Stuff 'em.
