Been a good week!

Well I thoroughly enjoyed my week off work.

Spent one day playing Morrowind - increased my character by two levels!

Spent Tuesday going back into work to help withsome PAT testing, but only till 2pm, so plenty of time for reading when I got home.

Wednesday was dry and bright so I spent it in a flurry of garden related activity -mending fence where unthinking neighbours pulled their clematis down last year, ripping my honeysuckle and trellis to bits in the process! At least it has regrown enough so you wouldn't really notice now, but its still overhanging rather a lot of border (and my borders are only 2 foot deep so it doesn't take much!) Weeded and cleaned up the cat poo, so now its possible to sit on the garden furniture and smell winter honeysuckle, lavender and rosemary instead.

Thursday went into Spring Clean mode as my folks were due down in the pm. Managed to coax them into visiting the delights of B&Q with me (where Dad offered to pay towards my purchase of a glass cutting tool and tumble drier vent! - nice one Dad!). They went on late in the evening, but only after buying us all fish & chips for dinner from the Malboro (Best Chips - Best Fish!). So that more than made up for them boring us to death with things they'd forgotten they'd already told us by phone or email!

Friday involved a little shopping, then I chatted to nomyx on messenger, whilst putting all the sheets round the wash for Saturday AND balancing a large ginger cat on my lap! Ta Dah!

Saturday we got up fairly late but got ready for Hubby's cousin and her bf to arrive. They turned up around 11.30 then we all drove (in their car) to see Hubby's Gran in Bridport. Spent a couple of hours there (and even snuck out to the Butchers to get some pigs feet for a dissection at school on Tuesday - found they sold Ostrich sausages - had to try some! Got those and some drycure bacon plus a bit of black pudding for Sunday brekky. Took visitors over to my in-laws and stayed there for a couple of hours, then Boy1 comae home with us for the evening while Boy2 went back to inlaws for an evening playing Pirates of The Caribbean on the computer.

Spent the evening in carbohydrate overdrive eating pizza, garlic bread and jacket potatoes. Listening to music, chatting and drinking (tea for me), and playing on the computers. Jack Skellington came round after picking up his daughter from a party and takling her home (the need for beer was palpable!)

Went on to bed around 12.30 and read a bit of the book Mum loaned me - One Last Time - about a spiritual medium who is only a year older than me at the time of writing it. Its a very easy to follow book, with a down to earth and no-nonsense attitude. He likes to be well understood. I am finding it a valuable tool in my own search to decide what I want to do about it.

Sunday was up at 9am and hubby and I cooked brekky for ppl., whilst everyone else smoked in the conservatory or played on the pc (Boy1).

Everyone bar me and Boy2 drove into town to The Bar-on-the-Corner to meet Hubby's other cousin who runs a hotel in Weymouth. They went back to Northampton from there so we said out goodbyes before they left.

I played Morrowind and looked at club fashions on the net till hubby got back around 4.30, complaining bitterly about the bitter cold. I was glad I didn't go - it would have been very smoky with all the cousins smoking too. Sometimes I wish I didn't mind it so much, but I've been feeling crappy today, so I think it must have been partly down to a cold starting that my head was aching most of the w/e.

Boy2 was very good and didn't try to piss me off - we had an agreement that I'd stay behind so he wouldn't have to go and sit in the pub for two hours as long as he'd behave himself. It worked! The threat of having to leavie his pc and walk into town to sit in a boring room was enough to curb any wayward behaviour! He still didn't get home till after 9pm cus he was playing up for his Dad for too long.

Ahh, So it all seems to have gone in a bit of a rush. Didn't get any emulsion painting done, haven't cut the hole in the window for the tumble drier outlet and didn't put up hall shelf for plants. But I did have a break (I think).

Gotta talk to brain_error when she's not so busy.

Hope all my friends are well and happy

Love and hugs
