Love to all my friends and my hubby!
Got home from work 2 day at about 5pm - boy1 and boy2 playing Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds on our LAN and sounding v. happy and not arguing for a change. Boy2 seems much happier since he moved to his new school - seems to be a good move and he has made lots of friends (relief!!). Boy1 seems more mature now - less likely to pick fights than he used to be (since he's 14 in December u would think he was past that, but boys will be boys) . Hubby made us all boiled eggs with buttered toasty soldiers and made us feel all cosseted and cared for. We sat on the sofa and watched the cookery progs for a bit. Both the cats were sprawled all over us so I now have Boddington coloured fur on my navy blue 'Dickies' work trousers and black Amber fur on my putrid green garden centre jumper. Ah well, what a washing m/c can do.
Hubby got me some Goldschlager (cinnamon schnapps with bits of gold in it) from the shop when he wnt up earlier (thank heaven 4 chqs!) and I'm making it last by mixing it with lemonade - yummy & warming on cold nights!
Took both boys home and had bacon roll at hubby's ma's house - she's good to me! Ahhhhh - i can still feel its porky goodness in my tummy. Hubby's ma sounds like Mickey Mouse - she has a high pitched voice and I've always wanted to get her to say 'Come on, Pluto!' but never had the nerve! If I call her Mini Mouse I spose thats kinder (just).
CAT UPDATE: Boddington has left my lap and is now replaced by Amber - she hampers in a different way, by repeatedly rubbing her head against the hand that is typing (currently both of them) and then trying to be more noticeable than both keyboard and monitor by rubbing my face with hers. SAD NEEDY PUSSY! TART - she's such a 'poor me'! I love her.
Came home and got on LJ to find new person has added me to their friends list (must be mistake!) Hi evilsalamander! Will catch up with u sometime, when I have time to have a look at ur stuff some more (noticed u include The Wall in ur fave movies - the video has travelled everywhere with me!).
Finally found a way to send pics of the cats to brain_error (love to u & urs sweetie) and am planning to save loads of pics if I can scan them at school.
Have to stop soon & get stuff ready 4 school 2morrow.
Hope nomyx and brain_error got to see Harry Potter ok - we tried taking the kids last week and it was all booked up at our amazing 10 screen complex! Never mind - hubby went to see the new James Bond Film 2day (Mini took whole family, but I was at work, doh) so I'll b hearing bout it 4 days!
Just feeling warmth and good feelings for all those people I know and love (including those I haven't spoken to in over a year!).
