“Hey You,
Things aren't what they seem.
Makes no sense at all
Things aren't what they seem.
Makes no sense at all”

Placebo, Burger Queen

Sho was shocked as he heard that, he knew there was a side of Aiba that he didn't know, a reason why Nino reacted that way... something that was making him to be in pain. But he had never expected that, and he could feel the pain in Aiba's voice as he said it. "I... I almost killed a guy" Sho kept staring at him, and something inside him hurt seeing him like that.

He didn't think, he just moved closer to him and hugged him, trying to do something to ease his pain and feeling like an idiot for judging him just for the looks, not wanting to look further than that.

He could feel Aiba trembling in his arms and felt his shirt slowly getting wet from the others tears. Something inside Sho was breaking seeing him like that.

After a few moments, he felt Aiba calming down and looking away while apologizing for what had just happened, and Sho never thought he'd seen that weak side of his.. or that he even had that side. All that he wanted, watching Aiba that vulnerable, was to protect him, to do something to erase all that pain and he felt horrible for all the hard words he'd told him, for the wrong judgments.

"I'm sorry, for judging you without knowing you and tell all that things to you... sorry"

He saw Aiba just shrugging before replying.

"Don't worry, I'm more than used to it. That's just what any normal people think about me anyway..."

"You're an idiot"

Something snapped inside Sho, why Aiba allowed the rest to think that about him, why didn't he clarify it?

He saw how the other turned to him, with traces of tears still in his face but with his usual smile back.

"That's possible, but you're starting to like me"

Somehow, Sho couldn't bring himself to deny it. Was he really starting to like him? His mind started to go full speed about it until Aiba's voice broke his train of thoughts.

"So, now you know about me, but what about you Mr. Perfect?"

Sho took a deep breath and laughed at the way Aiba had just called him. It wasn't the first time someone called him like that though, but to be honest he hated it.

"Well, let's see...I had the privilege or the curse, depending what point of view you see it, to born in what could be called a wealthy family. I’m the eldest, so I’m supposed to act according to people expectations and can’t be less than that...perfect to fulfill them. Sometimes I wonder what's worst tho..."

He took a deep breath before continuing and smiled bitterly while looking up, feeling the other's curious gaze on him.

"If that people don't expect anything from you, or, exactly the opposite, that is expected too much from you that you can't allow yourself to fail"

Sho laughed and looked at Aiba

"Probably you're thinking "poor rich boy, what does he know about real problems", huh?"

He saw the other laughing too.

"Not really" Aiba replied while started to walk, and Sho followed him, feeling a little relieved, he hadn't talked about something like this with anyone that wasn't Jun, but somehow he was starting to felt at ease with the lanky guy.

They kept walking and talking for a little more until was time for him to go home.

"Thank you for coming" he said making Aiba smile.

"Shouldn't be me the one thanking you?" the boy said while giggling

"Right! then you're welcome?" Sho said joking and making both burst into laughing.

"So, will you go out with me tomorrow?" Sho stared to Aiba, wondering if he should accept this time, but what happened next cut his thoughts completely.

AIBA’S POV:

Aiba felt safe right there, and for once, he kept letting all his emotions to flow. He would always hide behind his smile and his airheadness, but right then; it felt right to let that facade to fade and not to pretend he was fine.

After some minutes, he finally calmed down, and realized fully about the situation. He wiped his tears and looked away, he was suddenly aware of the situation, of being in front of Sho showing his worst side.

"I'm sorry for this"

He felt Sho's stare on him before hearing his voice, he didn't know what to expect.

"I'm sorry, for judging you without knowing you and tell all that things to you... sorry"

Aiba didn't blame him, it was what everybody thought about him, he didn't expect Sho to think differently. After so much time, he had gotten tired of trying to prove he was not like that and started to let them think whatever they wanted to believe.

"Don't worry, I'm more than used to it. That's just what any normal people think about me anyway..."

"You're an idiot"

Aiba turned back to stare at Sho, he didn't think the other would snap at him like that.

"That's possible, but you're starting to like me"

Aiba just stared at Sho's troubled face after hearing that, and decided to change the topic and ask about him. He wanted to know all about Sho, since the time he saw him in that party, he'd wanted to know.

Aiba kept hearing about Sho, and realized how hard the other was always trying, how much pressure it must be for him to stay under that much pressure. And somehow, he found himself admiring him more, for never giving up.

"Probably you're thinking "poor rich boy, what does he know about real problems" huh?"

Aiba was expecting some kind of snarky remark like that one, but just smiled and replied a simple "Not really" before start walking leaving the other guy a few steps behind, but didn't take long before the other followed him.

He wanted to tell him he understood and that he meant it when he said he didn't thought that of him, that he admired him for keep going despite all that pressure, but he couldn't, he didn't want to say something that ended up blowing the moment they had just shared.

They kept talking about random stuff, until it was time to say goodbye.

"Thank you for coming" Sho said breaking the silence that suddenly appeared between them. Aiba laughed after all Sho had invited him to talk about what was bother him, so should be him the one thanking.

"Shouldn't be me the one thanking you?" he asked giggling

He saw the other giving him a toothy smile.

"Right! then you're welcome?" both of them laughed, Aiba had to admit he loved the sound of the other's laugh.

Somehow, it was time to go away, but Aiba didn’t want to give up on him, on the possibility of sharing more time together with Sho, so he asked, even knowing the most possible answer to it.

"So, will you go out with me tomorrow?"

He kept staring at Sho waiting for an answer, and could see the doubts crossing Sho’s mind reflected in his face. And at that moment, he couldn’t stop himself… he got closer and kissed him softly.
