I have been neglecting to build any mods for quite some time now. Partly due to my ongoing mental health issues (when you can’t concentrate everything is a chore), partly due to financial constraints, but also partly due to internal mental struggles.
I am not a professional electronics engineer, merely a DIY enthusiast. This means while I think the things I make are safe I have no guarantee they truly are. I test new builds out for several days to ensure everything is working as it should - but this is no substitute for professional product testing (trading standards and the like). Also I have no liability insurance or financial back ups of any sort and I am unlikely to get any of that any time remotely soon.
This means I am subject to the whims of my customers as far as that sort of thing goes, so if something goes wrong I have very little solid ground to cower upon.
I know many users of e cigs are a friendly bunch who are very willing to try out new gear and most are sensible enough to do a bit of research before trying out kit. Having said that, with the slow rise in user base there comes the arrival of the less friendly sort of person who will make mistakes and blame everyone else.
I do try my very best to make what I use as safe as possible and indeed converse with my customers to impart the knowledge they need to safely use my devices. I am going to work on product handouts to pop in with purchases covering the safe use of my devices and that’s about the best I can do with the resources I have.
Still, in the very bottom of my mind, lurks the thoughts about product safety and recent issues that have arisen in the electronic cigarette world.
Hopefully everything will run smoothly and I will not hit any problems, but hey - you never know.
