yikes!
In may I was
* five days ill with bronchitis
* five days in ticino in Switzerland, which was just great. The place is so pretty and the food, oh dear god, the food!
* half a day in the office, trying to catch up before going to
* Vienna for five more days. I went for the library conference I used to help organise. This time as a participant only. It's much better this way.
I listened to an inspiring talk by Eppo van Nispen tot Sevenaer, the head of Delft library in the Netherlands. You don't often get that, inspiring librarians ;-)
I stayed in Vienna for the weekend, because my grandparents were visiting as well. I stayed out long on Thursday night with librarians and went for drinks on Friday night with friends. On Saturday I cheered on Danube Island as my cousin was awarded the first price at the vienna city triathlon. Then I went to lake neusiedl with my friend P. In the evening I visited a friend for a glass of wine and we ended up going out for a cocktail talking life, the universe and men. On Sunday we had a big lunch at my mum's place with my grandparents.
I came home to Linz after 10 days away to do some laundry and catch up on the internet. I've caught up now, I think. Pity, it's time for me to start packing again. Tomorrow after work I will leave for Vienna. On Thursday morning I am flying to Brussels to visit a friend for the long weekend. I hope enough of my clothes will dry in time. Which is unlikely with the temperature hovering around 10 degrees. In June! I just caved in and turned the heating back on.
My list of May reads isn't bad as I got to read three books in ticino, but I haven't even started compiling it yet.
