Here's the first of my promised picspams, and I'm tired, so I decided to go with something that required as little fact-checking as possible. So I went with some of the busts and statues from the Roman galleries. CLAUDIUS IS MY FAVORITE JULIO-CLAUDIAN. <3 I am totally reading/watching I Claudius for the first time and it is absolutely fantastic, I love Derek Jacobi more than words can describe.

EEEEE CLAUDIUS! *huggles* HE IS MY FAVOURITE JULIO-CLAUDIAN, TOO. MY SECOND FAVOURITE EMPEROR AFTER VESPASIAN. :D (IS IT TOTALLY WEIRD THAT I HAVE FAVOURITE EMPERORS?)

Words cannot describe just how much I love I, Claudius. Derek Jacobi is so adorable and heartbreaking and occasionally fucking badass. I love his speech to the Senate just after he becomes emperor. :D (Haven't you seen it already? I could've sworn you had...)

ARGH ANTONIA. I KNOW. Seriously, she makes me rage...

The Julio-Claudians were batshit insane. I love them. :)
